The incandescent lamps are widely used in domestic applications, such as table lamps, car headlamps, electric flashlights. Some applications of those lamps make use of the heat generated, such as incubators, brooding boxes for young poultry, heat lights for reptile tanks and the Easy-Bake Oven toy.

The alternative lamps: halogen and fluorescent, become more and more popular. Halogen lamps have become more common in auto headlamps and in the home. Fluorescent lamps have replaced many applications of the incandescent lamps with their superior life and energy efficiency.
