New delivery options from Amtrak.
Posted on February 29, 2008 @ 10:26 am [Comments (0)]

We have after many years with City link changed to Amtrak for our deliveries, the reason we have done this is that Amtrak offer us a wider range of delivery options including an evening delivery option which although at extra cost may suit some of our customers.
They also offer a budget delivery with no signature required and they will leave the package in as safe a location as they can find if you are out.
Obviously with this option you take the risk if a package goes missing.
All of our deliveries are glass and Amtrak offer a dedicated glass handling service, you will see the stickers on the parcels.
There is a down side, for our highland and island friends, all of the carriers now charge more for these areas even City link have started charging extra for those post codes now.
You can understand it when you look at the distance involved.
For small consignments we will offer an alternative postal service to these areas but we cannot then insure against breakages.
The web site is in the process of being updated to include these changes.
In the meantime we will notify any customer who places an order where the standard carriage does not apply before sending out the order.

Tortoises waking up early? need heat lamps?
Posted on February 6, 2008 @ 12:46 pm [Comments (1)]

We have the perfect heat lamps for your early rising tortoise to bask under, apparently the heat helps them to start eating more quickly and so that they don’t use up the last of their reserves.

The heat lamps will also ensure that they will be OK if we haven’t seen the last of winter and get a cold snap.

You can get the whole fitting including either a clear or red lamp on our site here

Heat Lamp Shades and Lamps

The fitting comes with 2 metres of chain to hang it and a huge 5 metre cable with a 3 pin plug at the end for easy installation.

Also works for puppies/kittens and any animal that needs a bit of a helping hand during the cold weather
