Today we got our first delivery of dimming low energy lamps from Megaman, we have a 11 watt normal light light bulb shaped one which dimms using both an ordinary light switch or on a rotary dimmer switch.
We are going to test it tonight at home to see how it works.
We also have an 11 watt downlighter bulb which replaces the 50 watt twist and lock type spotlight.
This one dimms with an ordinary switch only not a rotary dimmer.
We will report tomorrow on the testing.
I really hope it goes well as we always being asked for dimmable low energy lamps.

We had a chap call today desperately seeking Philina architectural lamps in 60 watt opal with round pins not the oval ones.
These have been obsolete for some time, for some reason they are no longer produced.
Fortunately I remembered or thought I did, seeing a battered box of odd architectural lamps when we relocated last summer so I went hunting in the warehouse.
On a miscellaneous shelf I found a box of assorted architectural lamps and low and behold there were eleven of the old 500 mm opal 60 watt round pin amongst the others.
I had to test them all and one failed so that left ten.
This customer took eight so that leaves us with just two; if you use these lamps can I suggest you grab them now.
It also shows that if you need a strange light bulb it is always worth asking you never know what we may have tucked away in box somewhere.
