We had a call from a customer last week who we supplied with 34 of our hand built 150 watt metal halide flood lights for a Normal church in Scarborough.
They were installed three years ago and they have not had to change even one light bulb in that time.
That was very gratifying and we were very proud.
However today we had a call from another church who only had two in September 06 and one has failed, they wern’t our hand built ones but nonetheless it is poor performance, we will replace it of course, but it shows pride rides before a fall!!
Important considerations in Church lighting, it must run silently, there is often a hum generated by mass produced flood lights which if you have a lot, can be disturbing, it must not interfere with video links, wireless links or the hearing loop.
This is why we normally like to hand build them but it is expensive, increasingly so these days our slimline metal halide seems to be doing the trick in some locations and we hope these will offer a lower cost alternative.

We have ample stocks of replacement lamps for your 24 watt smilight kitchen lights but we are temporarily out of stock of the replacement complete light fittings that we supply when you find out it not just the lamp that has failed but the light fitting also.
We will have them again in the first week of March so it only a week or so away.
We have plenty of the other lengths both replacement Smilight tubes and complete fittings with tube.

It may not look that radical but we have made many improvements to our web site, at least WNW our web designers have.
All of the changes are designed to make the site easier to use with clearer information on delivery and in the payment section. etc.
It is even more secure than before.
Please let us have any feedback, you can put them on this news blog so if we have got anything wrong we can put it right.
There will be lots of new products soon particularly lots of new low energy lamps.
We also have some brilliant LED garden lighting which are the best we have ever had,they are extremely low energy, impossible to install wrongly and very safe as they are only 12 volts and all at a very resonable cost, Ideal for your DIY garden lighting this spring.

We have revised our web site and we are incorporating all of the comments and complaints you have made over the last year or so. Thank you for the feedback.
We have tried to include more useful information and also made it easier to use, at least we think we have, time will tell and no doubt you will let us know very quickly if we have got it wrong.
It should be easier to empty you shopping trolley if you have made a mistake and we have also taken steps to improve the e-mail order confirmation system because so many get blocked as spam so the customer doesn’t get it, we get a copy so we think you have but this may not be the case.
We also cleaning up the payment bit in the checkout you can use whatever cards you like or paypal, if you prefer it’s your choice, in the past this hasn’t been as clear at it could be.
