Sox control gear. getting hard to find.

Quite a number of you have and love your SOX outside lanterns and don’t want to change them for the more modern Son light fittings.
The old low pressure sodium lamps called Sox provide very good low energy lighting, orange, but very reliable and cheap to run.
But like all of us they are getting older and eventually need new components to keep them going.
The problem is that the control gears for the smaller wattages is getting hard to come by.
Philips are the only maunfacturer who are making the 18 watt and 26 watt ignitors.
We don’t have them on the web site at present but we will very soon, in the meantime please call us on 01822 860110 for help with your SOX fittings.

They are better than ever, just as stylish but complying with all of the upcoming legislation on fire safety etc.
They can be used with mains or low voltage and are particularly suitable for the Megaman low energy spotlights which are 240 volts and only 11watts rather then 50 watts, they also run cool so you are not heating up your kitchen.
We can supply fire hoods for when they are used in commercial premises or in apartment blocks.

If you have pets that feel the cold now is the time to sort out your winter heating, we have some very good heat lamp fittings which with Infra red lamps can provide practically any amount of heat you may need.
They come with a long lead and a plug attached, and a wire guard to prevent your pet getting to the lamp and even a chain to hang it up.
The switched heat lamp even allows you to vary the power so on warmer nights you can reduce the temperature.
All round an excellent high quality product at a very sensible price.
