Description of Ordinary Bulb Shape

This Dimming Low energy lamp from Megaman is just about the same size as a normal household bulb, it even looks like one, but it dims smoothly with no need to rewire your light switch.

Megaman claim it is equivalent to 60 watts at full power and we wouldn't argue with that, it is about right.


They have a rated life of 10,000 hours which is not as good as their normal bulbs which are 16.000 hours but it is still a very long time in a domestic situation. (A normal filament lamp life is approximately 1000 hours)

The light output is white with no hint of yellow as you find with the cheap low energy lamps.

The overall size is 133 mm long and 60 mm wide. they are only availiable in 11 watts at present.

You can have either screw base or bayonet fitting.
