Description of PL Type UV

These lamps are Germicidal, that is they have a UVC output which kills germs.

SAFETY: WHEN OPERATING THESE LAMPS GIVE OUT UVC RADIATION - DO NOT VIEW WITHOUT COMPLETE PROTECTION FOR SKIN AND EYES!

They are used in fresh water purifciation units to make bore hole and well water safe to drink often combined with filtration units. They are also used in ponds and aquariums to clean the water and reduce the alge which forms.

Do not confuse these lamps with flykillers which use UV light of a different wavelength to attract insects and them kill them with electric shocks!
