Description of Son Lamps With Internal Ignitor

These are the common "orange"lights you see in car parks, street lighting and many other applications

Their qualities are reliability, long life, and low energy consumption

Also known as vialox, nav, SHP. lucalox

A SON T is tubular like a cucumber and the SON E is ellipticall like a rugby ball

They are are only available in screw base normal size E27 and giant screw base E40

Look for a triangle on your lamp it will either have an /E\ for external or an /I\ for internal ignitor

If it is an I then you need this lamp, if an E then you need one with an external ignitor that is listed elsewhere in this section

It is important that you do not use a lamp that has an internal ignitor with control gear that also has an ignitor in it - the two ignitors will fight and the one in the lamp usually loses!
