These are the latest generation of metal halide display lamps; also known a CDMT. CDM-T, CMH arcstream, power star and powerball. dependent on manufacturer

They have all of the attributes of the compact metal halides but have greater " sparkle" which is maintained throughout their life

They are very small and are mainly used on shop displays wall washing and spot lighting merchandise, there is no reason you cannot use the in a domestic setting but they do need dedicated light fittings and control gear

They can be retrofitted into fittings using the standard compact metal halide to improve performance
