Description of Slimline Tubes

These have been discontinued by the major manufacturers. We have got in stocks of the white tubes but have been unable to get large stocks of warm or cool white

If we are out of stock of the tube you are after the site will not let you order it

You can use a Triphosphor tube (listed below) in your fitting without any modification and they are will actually do a better job for longer!

These are the basic fluorescent tubes which are common throughout the land.

They are energy efficient, have along life and are inexpensive.

You identify which one you need from the wattage which is written on the end of the tube.

There are various "colour tones" available from warm white to cool white.

There are several improved versions of the basic fluo tube the most popular is the triphosphor tube which lasts twice as long, gives 12% more light for the same watttage, they don't flicker and they show colours much more truly, ordinary tubes distort colours.
