Also known as Kolorlux,HQL,HPL,and HSL dependent on manufacturer

These are are grossly underrated lamps in our opinion, mercury lamps have many benefits over other discharge lamps although "old" technology they are still good lamps

The simple circuits,long life and a "soft" pure white light makes them very useful

They are just as good indoors as out particularly lighting plaster ceilings and walls where the effect can be quite spectacular

These lamps do run on control gear, but see the MLL section for mercury lamps that do not need control gear
