These are the newest addition to the 'ordinary' spotlight range

They are dimmable and will directly replace your old style spotlight!

They are NOT fluorescent so are ideal if you don't get on with the usual low energy bulbs.

It's very easy to change to these new lamps - just take out the old lamp and replace it with one of these - no modification is necessary

They have 2000 hour life - which is twice the life of the old style bulbs - and all the time they save you a bit of energy

The wattage comparisons are as below with the new wattages on the left and the old wattage equivalent on the right:

25 watt = 30 watt old style
28 watt = 40 watt
42 watt = 60 watt
70 watt = 100 watt

These are basically a modern redesign of the Twist and Lock Halogen spotlight to make it more efficient

They are NOT fluorescent so are ideal if you don't get on with the usual low energy bulbs.

All you do is take out your current 50 or 35 watt spotlight and replace it with a 40 watt or 28 watt one of these - job done. (even if you use a dimmer switch!)

They have 2000 hour life

The wattage comparisons are as below with the new wattages on the left and the old wattage equivalent on the right:

40 watt = 50 watt old style lamp
28 watt = 35 watt

This is a 2500 hour rated life lamp, most are only 1000hrs!

These lamps have two pins which locate it in the light fitting it is often called a GU10 or a HI-SPOT 50.

There are two types GZ10 and GU10, the latter will replace the former but we have the GZ10 in stock if you really want some! The difference is in the shape of the outer glass, the front and pins are the same!

These lamps look like low voltage halogen spots but in fact run on 240 volts.

They are not a low energy product but give a brilliant quality of light, often used in ceiling fittings and in shops for displaying goods.

These are the common type of spotlights also known as reflector lamps.
They vary greatly in size from 39mm (1.1/4") to 95mm (4") across the face, this is how you decide which one you need
They usually have screw bases but we can offer bayonet as well.
They make excellent display lights as well as reading lamps.

Coloured filament spot lights are not suitable for outdoor use as they get too hot, look at the PAR spotlights for this use.
They are ideal for disco or mood lighting.

The R80 is available in 60W
The R64 is available in 40W
The R50 is available in 25W

We do have some BC base coloured reflectors but we don't hold many in stock as they have to be custom made. If you want a reflector that isnt listed then please get in touch with us as we may have it on the shelf (we have some wierd lamps on the shelf!) or if not we can have them made - but please make sure you can give us some time to get it done!

These are a long life version of the normal filament spot lights or reflector lamps as they are also known.
They are very useful if the light fittings are hard to reach or where low energy long life spots cannot be used because dimming is needed.
Ideal in cinemas, theatres restaurants etc.

These are very robust lights that can be used outdoors they are quite heavy and so the light fitting needs to be securely fixed.
You can choose either a tightly focused spotlight or a wide angle flood style which will light up a wider area dependent on the use you have in mind. So they are also a floodlight!
They are 240 volt with and ES (E27) base.
Popular in garden lighting and suitable for smaller building or garden illumination where you don't want to go to the expense of proper floodlights.
Saying that they are not a low energy lamp where as the metal halide floodlights are low energy lighting.

These are low voltage powerful flood lights normally used for special purposes such as emergency lighting or where safety considerations mean mains power is not appropriate.

This is the smallest of the Hi-Spot lamp range.

Sometimes called a PAR16 it is only made in small screw fitting, that is a screw thread of 14mm. (E14).

These are high performance spot lights which give a very white clear light.

Only produced in ES (E27) base.

Often used is shops for display lighting. They have a rate life of 2500 to 3000 hours which is about three times the life of a filament spot light.

They will fit in most light fittings which currently use filament spots, the sizes are very similar but the light output is much better!

They can be dimmed with an appropriate dimmer switch.

Excellent for accent or mood lighting very high quality light output which does not fade with age. colour will not peel as it is internal and part of the reflector.
These are a high quality product far superior to coated lamps.
They are mains voltage and do not need a transformer.
