This LED is very white as you can see from the picture!

If you have Tungsten Halogen 12 volt spotlights already these will fit your current downlighters.

You may need to change the transformer if you don't already have constant voltage ones.
You will find them at the bottom of the LED section. You only need one transformer for 5 of these lamps!

This is a 2 watt lamp, your normal low voltage spotlight is 50 watts, but 80% of that is wasted in producing heat!
Led technology creates very little heat, they are the most efficient lamp for changing electricity into light.

To be honest these are best for creating lighting effects, not to replace a main light source.

Saying that they are perfect for hotel corridors (especially because they don't create heat!) and will make massive energy savings.

Because they have a average life span of 30,000 hours they will cut down on maintenance time considerably!
You could change 30 of the normal dichroics during the lifetime of one of these!

White LEDs, we have been very cautious with these but now we have one which we are happy with.
As you can see they are very bright and very white they used to have a bluey tinge to them, but not any more.
With the 12 volt ones you do need to have the correct transformers, the ones you have may do the job but probably won’t.
If you do need to change them then you only need one transformer for 5 lamps so the cost is not too bad.
The transformers are £ 15.00 each so it costs about £ 3.00 per lamp on top of the purchase price.
The benefits are the massive reduction in energy costs, imagine changing you car to one that can do 750 miles per gallon instead of 30 mpg that is the magnitude of the savings we are talking about.
As you know the normal low voltage halogen lamps have a short but glorious life these LED last 30.000 hours, this means you can leave them on 24/7 for nearly 3.5 years without having to replace them.
Another benefit is the heat or lack of it, these lamps run cool, they don’t waste your energy creating heat you don’t want, this is particularly good for corridors in hotels and apartment blocks.
