This is the common candle bulb sometimes called tulip bulbs, typically used in wall lights and chandeliers and many other decorative fittings.

This is an incandescent lamp, that is it has a filament as opposed to the low energy candles which have a minature fluorescent tube and operating gear inside the bulb.

These lamps have a expected life of 1000 hours and are dimmable.

The low energy candle cannot be dimmed but have a life of 5000 hours!
