Wattage & Length

These tubes are the softer end of the tanning tube range they have a different balance of UVA and UVB which is said to mimic the natural sun more accurately than straight forward tanning tubes.

The idea is that they take longer to tan but are less damaging to your skin.

They also stimulate the same parts of the brain that natural sunlight does to help with the effects of SAD syndrome in the winter months.

Some are slimline tubes some are not! T8 means slimline (8/8ths of an inch in diameter) T12 is the fat one! (12/8ths of an inch in diameter), lengths are 5ft and 6ft only. The 6ft 62watt lamp is a RUVA which means it has a reflector built into it, you must put these lamps in the right way around or you will not get a tan at all!

The 58 watt 5ft Philips Cleo Natural tube is now obsolete but we have 20 in stock at the moment, we will not be able to get anymore!
If your sunbed uses these lamps buy them now!!

If you are at all unsure of the lamp you need please call us to check the wrong ones will damage your bed.

There are other Philips Cleo Natural lamps available but are not stock items, these include the following variants:
6ft 62 watt which has a reflector and is a T12 (fat lamp)
6ft 70 watt this does not have a reflector and is a slimline tube T8.

This Tand a number business applies to all fluorescent tubes. The number denotes the number of eighths of an inch the diameter of the glass tube measures, simple as that. So a T5 is very slim at 5/8ths of an inch in diameter and so on a so forth!
Fluorescent tubes come in T2 T5 T8 and T12.
Sunbed tubes are normally T8 or T12.
