Halopin Capsule Style Halogen Lamps

A more efficient version of the standard G9 halpin bulb

These lamps are an easy way to reduce your electricity burn without changing to fluorescent or changing your fittings.

It's very easy to change to these new lamps - just take out the old lamp and replace it with one of these - no modification is necessary

The standard lamp has been redesigned to increase efficiency

This bulb is 33 watts and will replace a 40 watt standard bulb without loss of light output.

It's not a bucketload of saving but if you have a lot of these in your house the savings will add up

It has a 2000 hour life

The standard linear tungsten halogen lamp has also been taken back to the drawing board and has been improved

This type of lamp is usually seen in Security light fittings as they give an instant high light output.

They are also used in uplighters and as display lights as they also give good colour rendering (i.e. they don't distort the colours)

These are commonly used in security lighting. flood lighting where it is not used for long periods.
Appropriate where ever a large amount of light is required particularly if it is needed instantly.
Not ideal if the lamps are used for many hours as they are not energy efficient.
The system will not let you choose lengths and wattages that don't exist if it says you can't pick it it will be right please try again.
Our lamps are all heavy duty rough service lamps and offer much longer service life than cheaper non non branded types.

This is a 2500 hour rated life lamp, most are only 1000hrs!

These lamps have two pins which locate it in the light fitting it is often called a GU10 or a HI-SPOT 50.

There are two types GZ10 and GU10, the latter will replace the former but we have the GZ10 in stock if you really want some! The difference is in the shape of the outer glass, the front and pins are the same!

These lamps look like low voltage halogen spots but in fact run on 240 volts.

They are not a low energy product but give a brilliant quality of light, often used in ceiling fittings and in shops for displaying goods.

Fittings for these lamps

A range of mains voltage lamps which can be used as a substitute for ordinary light bulbs.

They give an intense very white light which doesn't "yellow" with age.

They show colours very acurately and so are ideal for display lighting.

Other uses are uplighters and wall wash fittings.

The opal version is now almost unavailable, we do have some 60 watt ES on the shelf, call us if you need opal in other sizes, we may be able to find a few.

They are also known as halolux and halotone.

The 150 watt is only available in screw base.

Philips have recently changed the shape of this lamp, we still have stocks of the old shape but only 200 left. The new shape does not fit in all light fittings!! Beware!!

These are small very powerful lamps designed for decorative fittings such as uplighters.
They give an intense white light and their small physical size in makes them a very useful lamp.
They are commonly found in office lighting rather than in domestic lighting.
They are only available in small bayonet and screw bases.
The pearl glass "softens" the light output, the frosted is half way between clear and pearl.
The 250 watt is only available in small bayonet base.

These are small mains voltage bulbs that give the same bright sparkling light as the low voltage spotlights but the light spread is not controlled in any one direction, they can used to great effect in many situations.

They are mains voltage and do not need a transformer

The connect with two metal pins, the distance apart is 9mm apart this is important.

These have also been affected by the EU regulations so we will be unable to get hold of frosted bulbs in the future

This one connects with two "spade " connectors on the rear of the reflector.

110 volt for site lighting etc where safety demands non mains voltage, generator supply, temporary lighting, vehicular and maritime.
We do a limited range of 24 volt which are used mainly in marine applications. please call if you need these.
The system will not let you choose a length and wattage that doesn't exist, if it won't let you pick it please try again it will be right.
Be careful of the 1000 watt there are two lengths so it can be confusing.
