These a small simple low energy lamps that need a dedicated lamp holder, they are also known as Lynx S. Dulux S and Biax S the S stands for single loop.
There are several colour tones to choose from it is important that you are consistent as the difference is very noticable when seen together.
You can change some of the wattage on these lamps if you need more light or less. the 5watt 7 watt 9 watt and 11 watt are all interchanageable this can be very useful.
These lamps are very good value they are only £ 1.58 when you buy a box of 10.

They are aslo known as Dulux SE PLSE lynx SE and biax SE the S standing for single loop E for electronic.
The second set of pins is to allow for dimming control and also for battery power when used as an emergency light, they are much more complex than the 2 pin type

These lamps have two different styles of layout in the first the loops or tubes are aranged in a triangle and in the second they are in a row.
The reason for this is they give different spread of light the picture on the left is the triagle and the one right is the straight loop.
The wattages are not interchangable you cannot fit the wrong lamp in the lamp holder.

These lamps have 4 pins in a row and are easily identified they are designed for use in flat light fittings either wall or ceiling mounted.
The shape makes for a very even spread of light.
Being triphosphor they don't go "creamy" with age and last a very long time.

These tubes have an enviable reputation for long life, we hear stories of tubes lasting 10 years or more, which is very bad for business.
The size is decided by the wattage so you cannot make a mistake, get the correct wattage and it will fit.

These are common lamps which are frequently found in corridors stairwells and the like.
Also called butterfly lamps by some people they have a reputation for reliability and long life.
They are also frequently used for emergency lighting.
They must not be used with presence detectors or PIRs as frequent switching ruins their life, they like to be left on for long periods.
There are copies coming out now GEs patent has expired we don't stock these as they do not have anything like the life of the branded lamp.
