Delivery

We aim to deliver next day and use an overnight carrier Amtrak to do this.

Sometimes this is not possible because items are temporarily out of stock or if the order is received too late in the day and the warehouse is very busy.

We offer three grades of carriage, standard by 5.30pm the next day £6.25. A.M. delivery for £ 10.00 and evening up to 8.30 PM which is also £10.00. All of these services will require a signature.

This lamp does not need control gear and will fit in a standard screw lampholder it only comes in 160 watts and screw base
It gives exactly the correct spectrum for lizards and other reptiles.
You do not need to buy expensive reptile lamps these are perfect in fact one of our customers trialed it for us and his iguanas moved to the end of the vivarium where this lamp was situated leaving the much more expensive lamp behind.

UPDATE: Philips have taken this lamp off their web site and so we may have problems getting new stock.

This lamp produces UV light and works just like a disco tube which shows up the whiteners in your clothes.
Apart from decorative uses they are used for testing and inspection where the UV can show up gas leakage etc which is otherwise invisable.
The 125 watt and 400 watt lamp needs control gear.
The 160 watt lamp is self ballasted so it does not need any control gear and can screw straight into a lamp holder with a mains supply.

Also known as Kolorlux,HQL,HPL,and HSL dependent on manufacturer.
These are are grossly underrated lamps in our opinion, mercury lamps have many benefits over other discharge lamps although "old" technology they are still good lamps.
The simple circuits,long life and a "soft" pure white light makes them very useful.
They are just as good indoors as out particularly lighting plaster ceilings and walls where the effect can be quite spectacular.
These lamps do run on control gear, but see the MLL section for mercury lamps that do not need control gear.

These lamps are brilliant, they are discharge lamps but don't need control gear.
If you need a lot of white light but have no space or budget for control gear these are the lamps to use.
