WHAT FANTASTIC LAMPS MADE BY MEGAMAN!

We have looked at many low energy replacement lamps for the trusty old R50 Reflector lamps but until now have not been happy to sell them.

This is different! These lamps really do the job!

Yes they are about 15 times as expensive as a normal Reflector but it will last 15 as long and you won't have had to change 15 lightbulbs!

PLUS during its LONG (15000 HOURS) life it is going to use a quarter of the electricity of the normal reflector lamp!

This reflector lamp is 7 watts which is equivalent to 35 watts of incandesant light.

R50 reflectors are normally a SES (E14) thread as is this replacement lamp.

The number after the "R" refers to the diameter of the front of the lamp in millimetres, you will find these LOW ENERGY REFLECTORS are almost indentical in shape and will go into any REFLECTOR type fitting.

An added bonus is the lack of heat, low energy lamps turn 80% of the power into light so it runs much cooler!

This is different! These lamps really do the job! At 11 watts they are equivalent to 55 watts of incandesant light.

There is only a millimetre difference in the diameter of the front of the R63 and R64 lamp so they are totally interchangeable.

Yes they are 15 times as expensive as a normal Reflector but it will last 15 as long and you won't have had to change 15 lightbulbs!

A great quality low energy lamp from MEGAMAN to replace the popular Par 38.

Par 38s are often used in garden spike lights, outdoor wall lights and shops for display purposes.

They are a good heavy duty general purpose floodlight, they look a bit like a car headlight.

A normal Par 38 has a rated life of 2000 hours, this one is rated at 10,000 hours!
So yes it costs 5 times as much as a normal Par 38 but it lasts 5 times longer!
So thats 4 lamps that won't fail and have to be changed and, if you are using a normal 80 watt lamp already, this one will give you more light and use a quarter of the, now very expensive, electricity.

With all low energy lamps you have to pay upfront to save in the long term, its sometimes hard to swallow but so are huge electricity bills!

Downside: The only downside is the fact it cannot be dimmed.

NOW AVAILABLE (26/01/2006) an 11 watt version. Equivalent to 50 watts of incandesant light!

The best replacement GU10/Hi Spot 50 lamp we have ever seen!

This range is a brilliant product line which replaces the GU10 and the GZ10 ( Hi-Spot) twist and lock halogen 240 volt spotlight popular in kitchen downlighters and spotlight fittings.

It offers massive energy saving and greatly extended life.

7 watts = 30w, 9w = 40w, 11w = 50w.

They also last approx 15000 hours instead of a normal GU10 which lasts 1000 hours.

So they cost a little over 3 times as much as a normal twist and lock lamp but last fifteen times longer and will save you electricity charges all that time! And you won't have to keep changing them!

All round a great saving particularly if you have lots of them.

Now available (01/09/05) light fittings that they fit into and are flush, ie not protuding like they do out of normal fittings!

The Megaman new lamps are here this is the first one it is a low energy long life lamp that is just about the same size as a normal household bulb, it even looks like one, but it dims in four steps.

You can use it with a conventional dimmer or with a normal on off switch.

It is ideal for a night light in a nursery or on a landing where you need some light but not much at some times of the day.
Megaman claim it is equivalent to 60 watts at full power and we wouldn't argue with that, it is about right.
They have a rated life of 10,000 hours which is not as good as their normal bulbs which are 16.000 hours but it is still a very long time in a domestic situation.

The light output is white with no hint of yellow as you find with the cheap low energy lamps.

The overall size is 133 mm long and 60 mm wide. they are only availiable in 11 watts at present.
You can have either screw base or bayonet fitting.

We want people to try them out and tell us what they think of them, we cannot send them out for free but if you order one and don't like it we will give you a full refund when you return it, it is our way of finding out if their are any problems or benefits that we have not spotted.

It is a 7 watt low energy lamp which gives the equivalent of 35 watts of incandescent light.

This is an IP55 rated lamp, which means it is splash proof and it has an average rated life of 10,000 hours.

The 7 watt version measures only 97mm in length and 38mm in diameter! So should fit in the smallest of shades is this is almost the same size as an incandesent candle lamp.
The 9 watt version is 107mm tall.

This Low energy candle is rated for 15000 hours life!

It will work on 50 or 60 Hz circuits, has a warm white (2700K) light output the 7 watt is equivalent to a normal 35 watt incandesent candle lamp the 9 watt is equivalent to 45 watts.

The Megaman candle has a wonderful warm start system which allows fast restarting, a problem that has plagued low energy products.

The benefits of using these lamps are twofold, first you won't be changing lamps as often and secondly you will more than save the cost of the lamp over its life in reduced energy bills!
