This is a combination of two products, the Garden Spike and a 80 watt Par 38 lamp, you can choose the colour of lamp in the drop down menu. There is a discount for a set of 6 in the same menu.

You can string them together very easily and they are waterproof.

Made of robust injection moulded plastic and it has an E27 (screw) lampholder and can tilt and turn even when planted in the ground which many of its competitors cannot!

It requires a 240 volt supply and is rated to 100 watts.

ESSENTIAL SAFETY DEVICE FOR WORKING WITH OUTDOOR ELECTRICS.
This simple device plugs into your normal household socket then you plug your equipment into it
The RCD gives added protection against electrocution when used with electrical appliances and equipment.
The unit provides automatic switch off, on loss of supply voltage.
Single button to test and set the RCD, it has a mechanical display to show when it is activated.

I use power tools in my garage and even though it is dry I still use one of these for safety’s sake, I know if I cut a power lead the RCD will protect me!

Armour flex cable.

As you can see in the picture it is heavy duty three core cable i.e. live neutral and earth.
The heavy duty cable is surrounded by a steel mesh which will prevent all but the most intense attack with a sharp object, but allows the cable to remain quite flexible.
Outside this again is a clear UPC sheath that protects the steel armour and the core from moisture and corrosion.
Some garden lights do not use an earth wire, as the earth of your garden does the job very well; it is where the earth wire goes eventually anyway.
In the ideal world all cables in the garden would be buried to a depth that a garden fork could not reach we know this often not possible or convenient in the domestic setting and so the flexible armoured cable is a very good compromise.
We still insist that you should use an RCD device on every outdoor supply to not do so is extremely foolish, the RCDs are cheap and your or your pet’s lives are not.

We used to heat our warehouse and packing station with great big gas heaters which were very noisy and smelly and made the packing team feel sick, they would heat upstairs brilliantly the trouble is they were working downstairs.

We have sourced a good quality festoon harness at last!

For some time we have had samples which did not come up to scratch but these are great!

They take normal bayonet light bulbs either GLS (Ordinary bulbs) or 45mm GOLFBALLS of 25 watts.

These festoons are suitable for outside use all year round and they come with a weatherproof plug. (It is a round 3 Pin plug not the usual 3 pin wall plug)

There is a 3 metres of cable before the first lampholder.

We don't supply the lamps with them as we think everybody will want something different!

Coloured, opaque and clear light bulbs are available elsewhere on the website.
