This slimline floodlight can be mounted to flood your garden or building with coloured light, the green especially makes gardens look spectacular!

Metal Halide has been too expensive in the past but the prices have come down considerably.

The running costs are low and the floodlight is the smallest available in 70 watts. It puts out as much light as a 400 watt Tungsten Halogen light with much less power consumption.

You can change the lamp inside to different colours by buying extra bulbs.

If you want to have a photocell floodlight it can be customised to include one for an extra £25.

Metal Halide is great for display lighting but it normally comes at a price!

This is great, cheap, little indoor floodlight suitable for shops, estate agents, galleries etc.

Using a double ended metal halide lamp in 70 or 150 watts this is ENERGY EFFICIENT light fitting.

It has all the control gear inside so you can just fit a plug and put it into a wall socket if you don't want to have an electrician "hard wire" the projector flood.

Lamps which can be used inside this projector flood are warm white (same as a normal light bulb 3000k), NDL (cool white 4000k) and daylight (daylight, 5200k) or one of our coloured lamps in red, green, blue or orange.

This is a high quality compact floodlight designed to use doubled ended metal halide lamps.
It is also available with sodium lamps(orange light)
It is IP65 rated so can be used outdoors.
Available with a symetric or asymetric reflector i.e short and fat or tall and slim.
Ideal for lighting buildings, signs and trees especially with coloured lamps fitted.
Available in white as well as black the strong die cast aluminium body is very durable.
All the external screws are stainless steel.
An excellent all round general purpose floodlight.
There are cheaper ones available but they are commonly composite material and not of this quality.

LARGE MODERN FLOODLIGHT

Floodlights used to be very cumbersome, heavy and tricky to install.

These have a die cast aluminuim body for lightness. It is polyester powder coated for added protection from the elements

They are of course fully water proof to the IP65 rating standard and so you can fit them almost anywhere,

Both the shell and the glass front (which is 5mm thick tempered glass) are easy to clean.

They are very easy to wire and need no special tools or skills to install them.

We can supply wire guards special order if you need them - please call us for more info

They come complete with a proper branded lamp not Far East lamps which although cheap are not always very reliable.

You can choose between sodium bulbs which give an orange light and offer very long life or Metal halide which is white but don’t last quite so long but we a still talking about several years’ useful life.

We recommend the metal halide if you need to discern colours or carry out work under them as the sodium lamps distorts colours.

If you are lighting a riding school bear in mind horses cannot see in orange light, they will not see the fences with sodium lighting.

This means it will turn on at dusk and turn off again when the day begins, automatically!

This is a spectacularly good floodlight!

They have three reflector types symetric(short and fat beam) and Asymetric (tall and thin beam) or a circular beam for a pinpoint of light, often used on the outside of buildings with a coloured lamp.

These floodlights use tungsten halogen lamps; they are the big brothers of your household security lamps.
They can take up to 1500-watt lamps and so produce a huge quantity of light.
They do use a lot of energy compared to a metal halide or sodium floodlight but they have two great advantages.
Firstly, they provide instant light.
Vital for security or emergency lighting, sodium and metal halide lamps take time to warm up.
Secondly, they can be switched on and off regularly without damaging the lamp or the fitting and they will relight immediately.
Sodium and metal halide lamps need to cool down before they can be turned back on.
So, use tungsten halogen where you need a lot of light instantly for relatively short periods.
The lamps only last for 1000 hours compared with 20.000 for sodium lamps but the lamps are very cheap as are the fittings.

Now with the option of a photocell, a photocell is not a movement sensor it is what they use on the top of streetlamps to turn them on at dusk and off at dawn and that's exactly what this one does!

We are very particular about only supplying good quality lamps and light fittings that we have rejected many lower cost light fittings in the past.

We have no qualms about recommending this flood light; it is well built, sturdy and very durable.

It is made of a modern composite material which cannot rust or rot.

The cover is acrylic and is secured by five screws to ensure no water penetration; it also had a large rubber sealing ring which the front seals against.

It comes complete with a lamp of course and a sturdy mounting bracket.
