We all know we should be saving energy but it is not easy if you home is full of 50 watt downlighters.
The problem with changing from the tungsten halogen bulbs to low energy is that the best low energy lamps are longer than the filament lamps and stick out of the fittings.
With these downlighter fittings this is not the case and you can fit any type of lamp in them, they even come with two lamp holders should you change you mind about the type of lamp you want to use.

This is an elegant, stylish and robust fitting that will take every 50mm spot light we sell including the LEDS and of course the Megaman low energy lamps.
It can be rotated in its hole and the tilting version tilts 20 degrees so you can direct the light output. (the non tilting obviously doesn't tilt at all!)
A quality cast aluminium downlighter fitting with a finish of great quality.
Much better than the pressed steel ones!

Our recommendation is the combination of the 11 watt Megaman lamp with the brushed steel downlighter.
We have many satisfied customers who have chosen this combination.

The colour or texture of the light the Megaman puts out is different; it is whiter than the filament lamps less yellow in the spectrum.
The only time you will notice this is if you put the two side by side once you have changed you will hardly notice it at all.
We prefer our light fittings to the dedicated Megaman one it is far more stylish, the tilting version is also a little bit bigger than normal which covers up any damage or finger marks you may leave on your ceiling when you change them over.

Fire Hoods fit over ceiling light fittings and are being prescribed by more and more electricians.
The regulations have scared many of them into specifying them just to be on the safe side.
They are nothing to do with the type of light fitting, its the hole you cut in the ceiling that weakens the fire retardent effect of the ceiling.
The hoods cover the light fitting and repair the fire protection and that's why they are used.
These are 150 x 150mm so should cover the majority of ceiling fittings, certainly all the ones we sell!

This is a simple inexpensive simple light fitting for the excellent Megaman Low Energy GU10 lamps.
It is not our own all purpose fitting which you can see above it is Magamans own fitting purpose made for the lamps.

This fitting tilts but most importantly of all the lamp is flush in the fitting.

The Megaman lamp is longer than a standard GU10 and so protrudes from a normal fitting which does not look very good!

These fittings come complete with a Megman low energy lamp.

These are 220/240 volt fittings, you do not need a transformer!
These are Megamans own fittings and come a set complete with the lamp and all you need to change your old fittings complete.
