We have found some excellent low energy replacement lamps for commercial light fittings

They can be retrofitted into existing fittings by isolating the switch gear in the fitting and taking the supply directly to the lamp holder. We can also supply complete fittings specifically designed for commercial and industrial applications

They offer substantial wattage savings - for example the 150 watt Lamp will replace a 400 watt Metal Halide lamp and the 125 watt replaces a 250 watt metal halide

They have several other advantages over Metal Halide lamps and gear:

They produce immediate useable light, quick start and no restart delays (metal halide lamps do not re strike when hot)

They all have integral ballasts which means you don't need any external control gear and can easily change to a higher or lower power lamp to meet different lighting requirements

They provide a much more simple way to convert your orange sodium or SON lights to a white light

They have high colour rendering and maintain their lumen maintenance during their lifespan. They are available in both cool white and warm white colour.

They provide a very cost effective and simple way to reduce your lighting energy burn

These are the common "orange"lights you see in car parks, street lighting and many other applications.
Their qualities are reliability, long life, and low energy consumption.
Also known as vialox, nav, SHP. lucalox.
A SON T is tubular like a cucumber and the SON E is ellipticall like a rugby ball
They are are only available in screw base normal size E27 and giant screw base E40
Look for a triangle on your lamp it will either have an /E\ for external or an /I\ for internal ignitor if it is an E then you need this page if an I then the next section is the one. This is very important because they will damage your control gear and/or kill the lamp if you get it wrong.
Look for a symbol on the lamp that looks like a triangle if it has an I in the triangle /I\ then the lamp has an internal ignitor if it has an E /E\ then you need the standard lamp above.

These lamps are specially configured to enhance plant growth.
They are used in Hydroponic systems as well as horticulture.
They provide all of the spectrum necessary for excellerated growth in most plants.
Yes they are the ones used to grow cannabis in the loft, very illegal !!
Only available in tubular shape they do need control gear to operate.
We can supply ready made "low bay" fittings complete with the lamp if required please look at the low bay section.

These are a development of the standard SON lamps offering improved light output slightly better colour rendering and extended life.
They are only available with external ignitors/E\.
The lower wattages have normal screw bases the higher wattages have a giant screw base.
You can upgrade to SON PLUS without changing your control gear.
You can tell if your lamps are SON PLUS as they have a + sign on them.

Usually found in flood light fittings these are a double ended version of the son lamp.
Common in industrial buildings where an area needs to be lit other than from overhead. i.e aisles between storage racks etc.
They do distort colours but not as much as standard son lamps.

A very strange lamp, these are very different fron ordinary sodium lamps they use dedicated contol gear and have a 2 pin base.
They produce a very "warm" light mainly white but with strong yellow and orange overtones .
They are most often seen in cafes and restuarants where a relaxed mood is required.
We have had problems with the control gear which in some installations has been a bit flakey.
