We have combined our popular multi-purpose ceiling spotlight fitting with a few different lamp options to give you a complete fitting ready to put in the ceiling

The options are an 11watt Megaman GU10 low energy lamp, an energy saving filament GU10 and an energy saving 12v spotlight

The 11 watt Megaman lamp is the most energy efficient lamp of the three and will directly replace a 50 watt halogen twist and lock spotlight. It is a fluorescent lamp and has a rated life of 15,000 hours which is much longer than its incandescent counterparts (usually 1000 hours) it also produces very little heat. It is not dimmable although we can supply a dimmable lamp if you would like one - please contact us for prices and advice

The GU10 Energy saving halogen lamp is a redesign of the current filament halogen. Its life has been improved to 2000 hours instead of 1000 and it is also only 40 watts instead of 50. So although it doesn't save a great deal it is still an improvement and a good option if you really don't like the fluorescent alternative. It is dimmable so is an ideal solution if you do like to use a dimmer switch. You can always change the lamp at a later date either to a lower wattage halogen bulb or to a Megaman lamp like the one described above.

The Energy saving low voltage spotlight or dichroic is a similar beast. It is a redesign of the standard lamp and again it only burns 35 watts instead of 50 watts. It is the only low energy option really available at the moment if you want low voltage spotlights as LED technology has yet to produce a lamp that we would be happy to say is good at ambient lighting. The lamp is also dimmable. The 12 volt package includes a 60va transformer so you don't have to buy anything else to get lit up

Our advice if you are doing a new installation of spotlights is to install 240 volt twist and lock lamps. This means you have a lot more options with regards to potential energy saving especially as LED lamps improve

These are a great way to make standard office lighting that bit more efficient without any hassle

The amazing thing about these convertors is all you have to do is take out the old tube, remove the starter, put in the convertor (it fits just like a standard tube) and you are done!

No changes to existing wiring

Excellent energy saving - High frequency new generation T5 fitting tubes can offer savings of over 50%

The T5 tubes used in these convertors have an average service life of 20,000 hours which is around twice that of standard tubes

They can be used to replace most T8 and T12 tubes with old switch start (also known as wire wound) control gear also because these are high frequency there is no annoying flickering on start up

No technical knowledge is required to fit these - we changed over our entire office in less than 15 minutes!
They really are very easy to put up

We get asked by a lot of people how to improve the efficiency of their office lighting and up until now we haven't been able to offer an improvement on ordinary T8 or T12 fluorescent tubes. Now we finally have an option and the great thing is it is a simple change to make!

These are the latest development in low energy industrial lighting. They are just like the standard Hi Bay fitting you are used to but instead of a Metal Halide or Sodium (Son) lamp they use a compact fluorescent lamp

They offer substantial wattage savings - the 150 watt will replace a 400 watt Metal Halide

They do not require special control gear so eliminate the problem of lost ballasts. It is also very simple to change the wattage if needed by simply changing the lamp (this is not possible with Metal Halide or Son)

They produce a crisp white light which gives excellent colour rendering and have high lumen maintenance

Lamps that go in these fittings

This is a simple inexpensive simple light fitting for the excellent Megaman Low Energy GU10 lamps.
It is not our own all purpose fitting which you can see above it is Magamans own fitting purpose made for the lamps.

This fitting tilts but most importantly of all the lamp is flush in the fitting.

The Megaman lamp is longer than a standard GU10 and so protrudes from a normal fitting which does not look very good!

These fittings come complete with a Megman low energy lamp.

These are 220/240 volt fittings, you do not need a transformer!
These are Megamans own fittings and come a set complete with the lamp and all you need to change your old fittings complete.
